Features: Ask Brian Johnson (Q&A)

The Q&A is now closed. See the answers from Space: 1999's special effects master!

U.K.-based Brian Johnson is an Academy Award winner for Alien (1979) and The Empire Strikes Back (1980; Special Achievement in Visual Effects), in addition to be nominated for Dragonslayer (1981; Best Achievement in Visual Effects). Mr. Johnson has applied his mastery of special effects to numerous motion pictures and television shows, including Space: 1999. His landmark effects within that series, including the creation of the much-beloved Eagle spacecraft and Moonbase Alpha, are much-loved by many to this day.
